Wok on electric coil stove. You can place the wok directly on top of the electric coil stove. This position is the best should you want to use flat bottom woks on stoves. It spreads heat evenly through the bottom of your work.
Coils are also designed in a manner that allows heat distribution. With electric coil stoves a flat bottomed wok is more appropriate as it can be placed directly onto the heating coils. The heat will be distributed evenly over the woks base so that the food will cook properly with all parts heated through together.
In particular carbon-steel woks work exceptionally well on electric coils.
