Can you blend hot liquids in a ninja

I have been making bulletproof coffee in my Ninja blender for a couple of weeks and this morning it started leaking coffee from underneath and when I went to take the top out of the blender it popped and coffee went everywhere. If you want to blend a soup or hot sauce this is not the machine to do it with.
